Perception" is an inspired art piece which tells a story, my journey; vulnerability, pain, truth, survival, growth and a rebirth out of domestic abuse

Contained within the contemporary art piece you will find spiritual symbolism and practices which were an integral part of the healing process.

The bright colours are to indicate that despite times of darkest, there are always opportunities to see the light, a light which has the potential to manifest into a pathway to joy.

Ikigai Support

Ikigai Support, 2019. Acrylic on Cavas 40cm x 50cm

Ikigai Support, Contemporary art by Amja Unabashedly

Ikigai is a Japanese principle which roughly translates "to life's purpose". Amja's ‘Ikigai Support’ fine art piece is a reflection of Ikigai and the connection of supporting others in their Ikigai journey.

Ikigai Support

The ‘A Heart To Hold’ fine art piece is a visual expression of my quote "Self- Love is the precursor to your greatest love.", a quote which came to mind during a therapy session when my therapist spoke about the importance of self-compassion and self-love

‘Risen’ tells a story of Sisterhood Solidarity and what happens when women come together to help another sister regardless of her hue, belief, socio-economic status, or class . Giving thanks to Advance Charity, Woman's Trust Charity, Women, and Girls Network, and Million Women Rise for the inspiration for this piece... "Because we helped our sister to rise, that's how we see ALL Sisters fly".
