Use these three micro-rituals (we’ll say daily practices) to reset your pace, be kinder in your self-talk, and make decisions that respect capacity — not performance.

The Three Daily Practices

Start small. Choose one practice for the day. Rotate as needed. Return whenever you need to reset, realign, and move.

Hydrate

Nourish the body to steady the mind. Pause to drink. Breathe while you sip. Notice temperature, texture, and the effect on your pace.

  • Set a gentle timer: morning / midday / evening
  • Pair water with three long exhales
  • Say: “I can slow down and still be thorough.”

Affirm

Affirm — SSCS™ Daily Practice Two

Language shapes nervous-system stories. Choose one sentence that respects today’s capacity and values — without performance.

  • Keep it specific and kind
  • Say it out loud, once in the mirror
  • Write it somewhere you’ll see

Adorn

Adorn — SSCS™ Daily Practice Three

Choose one small, intentional adornment that honours your story today — a colour, texture, or item that helps you feel like yourself.

  • Pick comfort and expression over performance
  • Let the adornment be a reminder to breathe
  • End the day by thanking your body

No. HAA is a creative learning practice that complements therapy or coaching by offering grounded, repeatable steps for everyday life.

How long does it take each day?

2–5 minutes per practice. Choose one per day, or rotate across the week.

What if I miss a day?

No shame, no restart pressure. Pick one practice and begin again — that’s the rhythm.

Can we use HAA in teams or classrooms?
