Let Art Be Your Becoming™ Philosophy
Be creatively courageous or courageously creative — let art be your becoming.
Let Art Be Your Becoming™ is the philosophy that emerged before any framework had a name.

That’s what I had to do.
When words abandoned me, colour and movement became my language. I never went to art school; I simply followed what wanted to speak through my hands. One quiet day I whispered to myself, “Let art be your becoming, Antonia.” In that moment, art stopped being something I made, it became who I was becoming.
Through this practice, the Self-Soothing Creative Steps (SSCS™) slowly revealed themselves. But it began with support, friendships that offered gentle encouragement, and spaces like Advance where creativity was not judged, but welcomed.

Rachel Gadsden was the artist who placed a canvas in my hands and told me to paint. She gave me both the permission and the courage to begin again.. From that support, Self-Love emerged. Through reflection and meditation, Spirituality deepened. In weaving these together, I found a sense of Security, not isolation, but belonging.
These were not concepts at the time. They were survival, a grounding and the path to becoming.
Over time, what began as personal practice expanded. It moved into organisational spaces, into leadership conversations, into rooms where language needed care. And it remained in community spaces too, where art continues to be access, gathering, and shared growth.
Give yourself permission to live your heart’s vision.
Let art be your becoming.
